Wonderful Privilege

There is absolutely nothing like the wonderful privilege of pretending to be a fly on the wall. The witnessed joy is pure heaven and totally worth it. Last Saturday, at the Salt Lake Chapter of Quilts for Kids conducted at Quilter’s Lodge I got to see so much joy in everyone’s faces that I literally caught some of it and found myself singing on the way home.

Experienced attendees joyfully helped the less experienced even though they came to make a kit themselves. Other attendees allowed us to share the accomplishments of others by showing off finished quilts. Everyone was graciously patient as we put into practice a brand new system of checking people in and signing quilt kits out at the end. One team member even corrected someone…me 🙂 … with such joy that it did not even feel like correction… i.e. NO shame involved.

What a wonderful privilege it is to be a part of such a loving community! Thank you Quilter’s Lodge for making the spreading of so much love possible.
